Million DJ March . August '08

Just doing my part to try fix-up the music industry from within.

On August 30, 2008 DJs will descend on Washington to celebrate decades of service to the entertainment industry. They will listen to speeches from leaders of music groups, founding DJs, and Civil Rights activists all on the dawn of a new election year.

The March and activities will take place from August 28- 30, 2008 in Washington DC, with the actual rally taking place on the 30 at 10 am, on the National Mall, extending from the Capitol Building to the Washington Monument. Disc jockeys will gather from all over the world to discuss the current state of the DJ, and highlight the true integral importance of their role.

THIS TUNE starts the mix off and is one of the best Sensi tunes from Sizzla in a long time. Now DJ Obsession contributes on the Chip Fu & Renee' remix. We touch the Black Shadow Bad Dog with a Bramma dubplate, and singles from Buju Banton, Movado. We end the mix with the Shoot Out Riddim that basically got every single a solid forward during the Christmas in Jamaica. Movado, Mykal Rose, Busy Signal, Demarco are in this mix, wait till next mix with Buju and Jr. Gong!! (big up dj secret1 - John John)

(BIGGUP COOYAH) Da'Ville releases a single on the same version "Spread Your Love" and Demarco salutes the "Fallen Soilders". 'Can't Knock the Hustling' from Tarrus Riley, a nice song to help those who have it in supply to help others 'get lifted' (spiritually).

Then let everyone know you heard it hear first... "Shame" the reggae single from Anthony Hamilton, mixed down by a Jamaican Producer, Mr. Kennedy (that way nuff people don't run him down for the version). Then Sadiki starts off the next exclusive segment with the Peckings Leaving Riddim. This is where we hear the two new songs from Shinehead!!!!

"Shame" the reggae single from Anthony Hamilton, mixed down by a Jamaican Producer, Mr. Kennedy (that way nuff people don't run him down for the version). Then Sadiki starts off the next exclusive segment with the Peckings Leaving Riddim. This is where we hear the two new songs from Shinehead!!!!</itunes:summary>

Another mix intro'd by D. Major from out of the Big Yard Music Group. New music from Wayne Wonder featuring Trina is a world wide hit single for the singer and Mr. Vegas has a DUTTTTTTY tune called, "Muss Come A Road". This tune is a solid single for the winter season mainly because it uses a classic loop from Barrington Levy's "Prison Oval Rock".

The featured riddim of this show is Dreams. As it is produced by Chris Birch, we highlight a new sensation, Irie Love and then another of our favorite singers, Cherine Anderson. who just shot a video for this single, so look out for it. We then touch the Venus riddim again and select new tracks from Lymie Murray, Nicola Tucker and Richie Stephens. Finally we highlight Danger Zone Music's Mikey Pelpa with his most popular song for the summer, Parental Guide.

Mad Mad Mixx... starting off with Shaggy featuring Sizzla and Collie Buddz mixing into Singer J, Elephant Man, Lady Saw and Ras Myrhdak's "In-Deh, In-Deh" on the After Eight Riddim. We touch the long awaited release of the Payback riddim from Danger Zone Label. Ce'cile's Soft, and Capleton's Snitch are the highlights on this riddim, produced by Jigsy King and Delmar 'Della' Drummond of Danger Zone Records.

Now one of the freshest dj tunes in the dancehall is from the well-known Anthony B with his humerously inflicting lyrics on "Teaser". A very good single for the end of the year '07. And cartel can't complete a mix without a sprinkle from these top artists, Movado, Aidonia and Vybz Kartel (yes he still in di top in Jamaica).

Lady Flame Interview

With Cartel in the mix again, this Lady Flame interview is very special because of her true musical talent. It isnt often that the female artist can ACTUALLY sing and dj and rap. Now you've HEARD some females who are 50/50 with either but technically weak in one. From her songs 'Peace' and 'Not Like It Used To Be', you can hear her vocal range. Even on the song 'Before Today' with Lil Rap, she CLEARLY belts out some notes.

Small in frame but VERY bold on and off-stage, she IS outspoken and not affraid to biggup all females for the issues they have to go thru with the industry just like Lady Saw who's song is also featured here.

Then the DJ side of Lady Flame is touched on as she features her newest tunes, 'Hot Walk' on the Tranquilizer and the gangsta-girl 'Nuhh Fraid Fi Squeeze' on the Artillery is tuff like the Assassin also on the riddim.

Since the seasons are changing, we cool-it-off and ask our listeners to "Come Closer" with Turbulence and Brina. Then Beres Hammond puts together another well crafted lyric with "You Don't Know Me", both are singles from the Xterminator Label. The Bed-A-Rose riddim has two highlights, one is a combo from Triston Palmer and Chantelle and Contractor's humorous 'Break My Promise' is featured on this mix.

"Mama I Love You" from Sean Paul starts off the Legal Riddim which also has songs from Tami Chin, Morgan Heritage, Gentleman and Norrisman among others. As we move forward in the mix we salute the General Ini Kamoze with a track also from the Xterminator Label, a strong social single entitled "Goodness and Mercy".

Fall Dancehall 7 . JahPrince

YEAH, its been a while, SO, this is to make up for months without RAW dancehall. This is the juggling segment that Cartel has been known to play in/outta clubs, pool parties, basement/garage jams for the summer. Mix is FULL of Vybz Kartel (even thou its Cartel Sound we still rate di artist lyrically) and Lady Flame (for the ladies who buss they own toolz)... VERY Explicit yet for some reason still entertaining and danceable.

(MAKE SURE you listen to Bramma de Bommer Dub at the end)

“That’s What U R”, is probably the sexiest song on her album, Amerie sings the praises of that special someone who has been patiently waiting to take the relationship to the next level. “A woman knows when she’s ready to go there. It may take a long time so it takes a special guy who can wait until she’s ready.”

This song is vocally remixed onto an Xterminator Label Riddim and placed alongside the current father of Lover's Rock, Beres Hammond and then Gentleman adds 'Another Intensity", the title of his current album.
