Just doing my part to try fix-up the music industry from within. On August 30, 2008 DJs will descend on Washington to celebrate decades of service to the entertainment industry. They will listen to speeches from leaders of music groups, founding DJs, and Civil Rights activists all on the dawn of a new election year. The March and activities will take place from August 28- 30, 2008 in Washington DC, with the actual rally taking place on the 30 at 10 am, on the National Mall, extending from the Capitol Building to the Washington Monument. Disc jockeys will gather from all over the world to discuss the current state of the DJ, and highlight the true integral importance of their role.

As the summer is over, Selena Serrano starts this session off with 'Don't Go' and she is joined by Collie Buddz with "Blind To You". We then introduce the I-Wayne on Big Yard's 'Rosie' Riddim, sure to be a future hit for I-Wayne who's VP Album should release later this year. Also heard is Richie Spice, Chuck Fender and the lyrically stylish Jah Mason "Light's The Fire". Now we step into the next Red-Trini-Reggae-Zone with "Jahhh!" sung by I-Sasha and Million Voice, then another family combo, "I Know Jah". This riddim is called Patience and next is "Borderline" by Mr King. and then we "Give Thanks" by Jah Bami. Bami then punches his hit "A Man Is Just A Man" showing us the Signs of life. Lady Flame Interview

With Cartel in the mix again, this Lady Flame interview is very special because of her true musical talent. It isnt often that the female artist can ACTUALLY sing and dj and rap. Now you've HEARD some females who are 50/50 with either but technically weak in one. From her songs 'Peace' and 'Not Like It Used To Be', you can hear her vocal range. Even on the song 'Before Today' with Lil Rap, she CLEARLY belts out some notes. Small in frame but VERY bold on and off-stage, she IS outspoken and not affraid to biggup all females for the issues they have to go thru with the industry just like Lady Saw who's song is also featured here. Then the DJ side of Lady Flame is touched on as she features her newest tunes, 'Hot Walk' on the Tranquilizer and the gangsta-girl 'Nuhh Fraid Fi Squeeze' on the Artillery is tuff like the Assassin also on the riddim.

Since the seasons are changing, we cool-it-off and ask our listeners to "Come Closer" with Turbulence and Brina. Then Beres Hammond puts together another well crafted lyric with "You Don't Know Me", both are singles from the Xterminator Label. The Bed-A-Rose riddim has two highlights, one is a combo from Triston Palmer and Chantelle and Contractor's humorous 'Break My Promise' is featured on this mix. "Mama I Love You" from Sean Paul starts off the Legal Riddim which also has songs from Tami Chin, Morgan Heritage, Gentleman and Norrisman among others. As we move forward in the mix we salute the General Ini Kamoze with a track also from the Xterminator Label, a strong social single entitled "Goodness and Mercy".

The mix continues with music from Kris Kelly (Double K), Da'Ville, Tessanne, a Mitch Dubplate for Cartel Sound and some good new music from VC with "It's Time". After doing all these mixes, "Smoke Gets In My Eyes" as Inner Circle features the Marley Brothers, then teams up with Jr. 'One Blood' Reid with the track "Blood A Run". Also heard is new Music from Cherine Anderson with "You and Me Against The World" and then we touch some music from Ky-enie who's album "Then, Now, After..." is now in stores.
